Precision oncology uses information about a patient's tumour biology, genetic profile, and individual clinical characteristics to support more informed cancer prevention, diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment decisions.

This course provides a structured introduction to the principles of precision oncology and cancer genetics. Participants will explore hereditary and acquired genetic alterations, molecular biomarkers, genomic testing, targeted therapies, and the clinical application of molecular information in modern cancer care.

The course also examines genetic counselling principles, interpretation of genetic and genomic findings, family risk assessment, ethical considerations, and the role of multidisciplinary teams in delivering personalised cancer care.
